For us, it is as much a <strong>moral obligation<\/strong> as an <strong>economic choice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We are convinced that the implementation of a proactive <strong>Corporate Social Responsibility policy<\/strong> will strengthen our <strong>intangible capital<\/strong>, and that it is the only <strong>acceptable winning choice<\/strong> for our <strong>future all<\/strong>. The analysis of <strong>CSR risks<\/strong>, the central questions of <strong>ISO 26000<\/strong>, and the expectations of our <strong>stakeholders<\/strong>, led us to define an ambitious <strong>CSR strategy<\/strong> structured into four axes:<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<!-- \/zone:zn_text [1] --><br \/>\n<!-- zone:zn_text [2] --><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Axis 1: Decarbonize our products and activities<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In France, the National Low Carbon Strategy aims to reduce <strong>greenhouse gas emissions<\/strong> from the building sector by <strong>50% by 2050<\/strong> (vs 2015). In this context, the <strong>decarbonization<\/strong> of our <strong>products<\/strong> and our <strong>activities<\/strong> is obviously the <strong>priority<\/strong> in our <strong>CSR strategy<\/strong>. It aims:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2022<\/span> to put <strong>ranges<\/strong> of less <strong>carbon-intensive products<\/strong> on the <strong>market<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2022 <\/span>to <strong>develop<\/strong> and <strong>promote<\/strong> more <strong>virtuous constructive methods<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2022<\/span>\u00a0and <strong>reduce CO2 emissions<\/strong> directly linked to our <strong>activities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<!-- \/zone:zn_text [2] --><br \/>\n<!-- zone:zn_text [3] --><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Axis 2: Limit our impacts on the environment and protect biodiversity<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-12498 size-skp_3by4_medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rector.fr\/wp-inside\/uploads\/2022\/12\/bas-carbone-loffre-rsoft-prend-son-envol-360x480.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Beyond <strong>decarbonization<\/strong>, <strong>protection<\/strong> of the <strong>environment<\/strong> and <strong>biodiversity<\/strong> is the <strong>second key axis<\/strong> of our <strong>CSR strategy<\/strong>. We must strive:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2022<\/span> towards <strong>energy-independent production sites<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2022<\/span> towards <strong>\u201c0 waste, 0 rejection\u201d<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2022<\/span> and contribute to the <strong>preservation<\/strong> and <strong>restoration<\/strong> of <strong>natural spaces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<!-- \/zone:zn_text [3] --><br \/>\n<!-- zone:zn_text [4] --><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Axis 3: Ensuring safety and promoting well-being at work<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Thanks to the <strong>technical progress<\/strong> made and the evolution of <strong>working methods<\/strong>, the <strong>conditions<\/strong> and <strong>quality of life<\/strong> at <strong>work<\/strong> have improved and we must continue on this path for years to come. In this area, we are therefore committed to acting as a <strong>responsible employer<\/strong>, through a <strong>caring human resources policy<\/strong>, beneficial to the <strong>development<\/strong> of our <strong>employees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<!-- \/zone:zn_text [4] --><br \/>\n<!-- zone:zn_text [5] --><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Axis 4: Anchor our activities in our territories<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-12859 size-skp_3by4_medium alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rector.fr\/wp-inside\/uploads\/2022\/12\/charpente-stock-usine-celles-360x480.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As a <strong>concrete manufacturer<\/strong>, our main sources of <strong>supply<\/strong> are located less than a hundred kilometers from our <strong>production sites<\/strong>. Our <strong>trading partners<\/strong> or <strong>construction companies<\/strong> and their clients&rsquo; construction sites are also most often <strong>anchored<\/strong> in the <strong>territories<\/strong> where our sites are located.<\/p>\n<p>The notion of a <strong>short supply chain<\/strong> is therefore a principle deeply enshrined in the <strong>DNA<\/strong> of our company. Our <strong>ambition<\/strong> is to reinforce this reality by promoting <strong>short circuits<\/strong>, <strong>local actions<\/strong>, participating in the <strong>development<\/strong> of <strong>local ecosystems<\/strong> and <strong>solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<!-- \/zone:zn_text [5] --><br \/>\n<!-- zone:zn_text [6] --><\/p>\n<p>Our CSR approach makes it possible to respond to <strong>13<\/strong> of the <strong>17 Sustainable Development Goals<\/strong> defined within the framework of the <strong>UN framework<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13372 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.rector.fr\/wp-inside\/uploads\/2024\/02\/fichier-22x-8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"656\" height=\"241\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rector.fr\/wp-inside\/uploads\/2024\/02\/fichier-22x-8.png 1931w, https:\/\/www.rector.fr\/wp-inside\/uploads\/2024\/02\/fichier-22x-8-480x176.png 480w, https:\/\/www.rector.fr\/wp-inside\/uploads\/2024\/02\/fichier-22x-8-1024x376.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.rector.fr\/wp-inside\/uploads\/2024\/02\/fichier-22x-8-768x282.png 768w, https:\/\/www.rector.fr\/wp-inside\/uploads\/2024\/02\/fichier-22x-8-1920x709.png 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 656px) 100vw, 656px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To give it perspective, we have additionally defined <strong>14 commitments<\/strong> for <strong>results<\/strong> or <strong>means<\/strong> by <strong>2025<\/strong> (monitored by around <strong>forty indicators<\/strong>):<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<!-- \/zone:zn_text [6] --><br \/>\n<!-- zone:zn_text [7] --><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #e2001a;\">1. Decarbonize our products and activities<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Make <strong>eco-designed solutions<\/strong> available to the <strong>market<\/strong> aimed at <strong>decarbonizing buildings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Cover up to <strong>90%<\/strong> of our <strong>electricity consumption<\/strong> through the production of <strong>photovoltaic electricity<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Strive towards <strong>50%<\/strong> of the <strong>renewals<\/strong> of our <strong>company vehicles<\/strong> and <strong>handling equipment<\/strong> with <strong>low-emission vehicles<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #e2001a;\">2. Limitour environmental impacts and protect biodiversity<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol style=\"counter-reset: list 3;\" start=\"4\">\n<li>Strive towards <strong>100% recycled materials<\/strong> in our <strong>passive steels<\/strong>, our <strong>plastic spacers<\/strong>, and the <strong>cardboard packaging<\/strong> of our <strong>boxes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Deploy our <strong>process water management optimization strategy<\/strong> on <strong>100% of our sites<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce our <strong>energy consumption<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Establish a <strong>biodiversity action plan<\/strong> on all of our <strong>sites<\/strong> and act in favor of <strong>biodiversity<\/strong> within the framework of <strong>partnerships<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\t\t\t<!-- \/zone:zn_text [7] --><br \/>\n<!-- zone:zn_text [8] --><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #e2001a;\">3. Ensure safety and promote well-being in the workplace<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol style=\"counter-reset: list 7;\" start=\"8\">\n<li>Ensure the <strong>health<\/strong> and <strong>safety<\/strong> of all our <strong>employees<\/strong> to the <strong>highest level<\/strong> and define an <strong>action plan<\/strong> to reduce <strong>arduousness<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Support employees in their <strong>development<\/strong> of <strong>skills<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct a survey on <strong>well-being at work<\/strong> and establish an <strong>action plan<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Define a <strong>policy<\/strong> in favor of the <strong>fight against discrimination<\/strong> (disability, M\/F <strong>equality<\/strong>, <strong>diversity<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4. Anchor our activities in our territories <\/span><\/h3>\n<ol style=\"counter-reset: list 11;\" start=\"13\">\n<li>Carry out a <strong>territorial analysis<\/strong> of our <strong>sites<\/strong> and define <strong>action plans<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Continue our approach to supplying <strong>short circuits<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Promote and respect our <strong>sponsorship strategy<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\t\t\t<!-- \/zone:zn_text [8] -->\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our ambition today is to harmoniously combine our economic, social, societal, and environmental performances.
